First Grade Teacher

My name is Ms. Alexandra Cochran and I am the first grade teacher here at St. Ladislaus.I am a graduate of Miami (OH) University, where I earned my Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education.This is my first year teaching at St.Ladislaus, and I could not be more excited to begin my full time educational journey at such a great school.& I have experience substitute teaching in both public and private schools PK-8.I was also a teacher’s assistant at a Catholic School.I chose to commit myself to Catholic Schools in order to integrate faith and education.

As an educator, I tier my instruction to fit the needs of all learners.I believe in integrating technology, like our Promethean Board (interactive whiteboard) into our everyday curriculum.First grade is a key time in children’s education, they continue to learn how to be independent and develop socially.I am inspired everyday by the children in my classroom.My favorite part of teaching first grade is the look that children get when they understand something.
