Students Helping Students To Succeed

Students Teaching Students

One of the best ways a student can learn is through interacting and conferencing with other children.Instead of a teacher working with a group of children on their studies, this after school program offers the chance for the older students to pair up and work with the younger students. For 45 minutes a week the children in this program have the opportunity to work and collaborate with one another. Each week I match an older student with a younger student or two to help with specific homework assignments, to be tutored in a specific subject, or simply play educational games to help with basic reading, writing and math concepts. My role is to simply facilitate, answer questions when needed and provide extra educational tools for student achievement.I am extremely pleased with all of the children’s attitudes and eagerness to work.I look forward to continued success in the future.
