Alumni Welcome Letter
Dear Friends of St. Ladislaus Catholic School,
St. Ladislaus Parish is fast approaching its 100thAnniversary. St.Ladislaus Catholic School has always been an integral part of the mission of the Church. The future of St.Ladislaus Parish and the Church universally, will depend on Today’s youth.
Recently, I met a gentleman from the Class of 1963.Even though he graduated 48 years ago, he and his classmates still meet to talk about their successes and giving back to their school. He spoke fondly of his days here and showed his gratitude by presenting the school with a generous donation.
Our newly formed Alumni Association held its first event in October of 2011, when they hosted an Alumni Homecoming. Many alumni, as far back as the Class of 1945, attended the event, toured the school and enjoyed being together in the Church Hall. It is just the first of many events the Alumni Association will be hosting.
We are aware that our students have been successful in their high school and college choices, awards and recognition, their career choices and successful life paths. Our desire is to see that St.Ladislaus Catholic School continues to nurture our students to become a vital part of their parish and community. Our first annual campaign,Keep the Lions Roaring, will provide funds to offer scholarships to struggling families. In keeping with the Mission of the Sisters of the Holy Family of Nazareth, we do not want to see anyone denied of an education at St. Ladislaus for lack of the ability to pay tuition.
St.Ladislaus School has continued to offer an education of excellence by updating technology, adding Band and Violin to our programs, offering activity periods to students in Grades 5-8, competing at high school levels in the Science Fair, and adding intramural sports. Most importantly, our students continue to be raised in the Catholic Faith and learn to follow God through praying, being active Church members and being of service to others.
We may be small, but we are mighty. Alumni, parishioners, and supporters of Catholic education are encouraged to help us keep our Lions roaring!
